This year, I vowed to make plans for summer and make the most of it. Well, I pretty much failed at that and didn’t do nearly the things that I had hoped for, but we still got out and enjoyed ourselves.
We continued on with our regular activities, like our Home Depot workshops, but we also had a trip to the coast with some friends, which included a hike on Cascade Head. On a separate trip to the coast, we took a ride on the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad, which the kids enjoyed.
At the end of September, we attended the Oregon Air Show. Funnily enough, Jack’s favourite thing there was not an airplane, but rather a jet-powered big rig, which could accelerate to 300mph in about 11 seconds and overtake planes flying overhead. Continue reading “July – September 2018”
As was the case in January, it’s been a bit manic lately with our move to Portland, so we haven’t had much time to do updates on the website here.
But, rather than deprive you all of Jack’s cuteness, here’s another little compilation from the last couple of months. Continue reading “February – April 2017”
This summer, we spent a couple of weeks visiting with family in New England. We spent about a week each in Bath, NH and Kingston, MA.
While there, Jack got to meet his second cousins, Addison, Mason and Emmerson as well as other family members.
While there, he perfected walking and finally got the tooth through that had been bugging him for weeks. Continue reading “Jack’s first vacation – New England 2016”
I don’t recall how Jack came to be wearing Ellie’s “love glasses” but all that matters is that they work for him. He looks insanely adorable, especially when he throws that beautiful smile into the mix. Love this guy so much.

The whole family was sick for most of November as we passed a cold back and forth. We’re finally on the other side of it, but that’s meant scant photos and updates on the websites.
This photo of Jack is a couple of weeks old, but was taken just as he was starting to feel better. Continue reading “Starting to feel better”
When this is the face that greets you in the morning, you can’t help but smile back. Continue reading “Big smiles glancing up”
Blue is definitely a good colour on Jack. It brings out the blue in his big beautiful eyes, even if Mama is convinced that his eyes are green. Continue reading “Big blue eyes”
Luckily for us, Jack has found the joys of sleeping through the night. On a rough night, we might have to get up once and he’ll only sleep for 5 hours straight, but on most nights he’ll sleep for about 7 hours straight. This makes for a very happy man when he does wake up.
I give you, Mr Smiles: Continue reading “Morning smiles [VIDEO]”
For as unhappy as Jack generally seemed to be during the first few weeks, he’s definitely making up for it now. Aunty Shelly sent me this essage while I was at work of how much fun he was having with her aunty. Continue reading “The happiness continues”
